Windmills Don't Work Because of the Cold - Minnesotans For Global …(Global Warming Talk)
The Startribune has a good article today about the windmills that aren't working because of the cold weather but they put a very positive spin on the whole thing. Once the windmill starts turning, then hopefully it would generate enough power to run the heaters to warm the fluid so it could turn if it was windy enough so it could produce. Its called the "Next Generation Energy Act of 2007", which mandates Minnesota utilities to produce at least 12 percent of their electricity from renewable resources by 2012. I have postulated the use of little tiny windmills to power the heaters for the big, giant windmills. Either that or tiny Japanese nuclear reactors to heat the OIL that is needed for the big, giant windmills to generate electricity! I like the Mini Nuke Idea because if the wind isn't blowing the mini Windmills won't generate any power so the fluid will still be too thick. read more
