Hybrid cars not popular - Courier Mail

WHILE petrol-electric hybrid cars have become the must-have item for greenies in the past year, sales are still very slow in Australia. Porsche announced recently a hybrid drive version would be one of the key variants of their four-door Panamera possible next year after the Cayenne hybrid. Toyota has dominated the hybrid car market with its Prius which last year reached 900,000 worldwide sales since its launch in 1997. Honda also plans to launch a Jazz hybrid sometime this year and a new dedicated hybrid vehicle in 2009. read more
