At noon last Tuesday, the Guam Adventist Academy had their "I-Recycle" bin installed, providing nearby communities an outlet for their aluminum cans. Youngberg credited the full bin to the enthusiasm of his students and their parents, who patrolled the community rounding up cans. The "I-Recycle" program was organized by the Guam Business Partners for Recycling, a group of local corporations who intend to jumpstart recycling on Guam by turning 40 schools into drop points for aluminum cans. Guam Adventist, which only has 110 students, will receive $270 for collecting the cans, thanks to a generous rate from the Anheuser Busch Recycling Corp. He also said he expects the Guam Adventist bin to stay stocked thanks to the Department of Public Works' announcement last week that the Ordot dump would be full in 200 days.
